Alright, this post is totally not related to the outdoors, but after all, this is MY site.

Happy Birthday, LittlePo. LittlePo is now officially 31 years old, although sometimes she still misses those twenty-something days.

LittlePo hopes that she would be able to go out and summit some peaks today, especially right now she is in Boulder, CO. Unfortuately the reality is that she is stuck in front of a computer working. Well, at least I can have some birthday wishes:

I hope in the following year, I will

  • have more field days hiking, backpacking, climbing
  • learn new playboating tricks
  • telemark ski in the backcountry
  • find a perfect place to move to (suggestions welcome!! Criteria: has to be close to mountains and class 3+ rivers)
  • have more readers
  • more to come

Missoula. Lots of rivers, lots of mountains, reasonably sized.

    Boise. Payette river, Bogus Basin.

Szu-Ting, I forgot to mention when I met you at this past weekend’s 1st Annual Outdoor Blogger’s Ho-Down at Mt. Shasta that my birthday is the day before yours! But in truth, I believe we celebrated quite well anyway. Loved your mooncakes! It was great to hike and camp with you.

How about the Shasta area?! You just took a visit there. Dunsmuir is my hometown. Chris Raine of Dunsmuir Rod Co., I’m sure Tom(Trout Underground) must have had some story about him, is my Dad. I’m pretty sure there’s a few Class III around there too! Upper Klamath? Pit? Nice Blog, it’s a good read!

    Jack,

Yes, I love the Shasta area, the mountain, the lakes and lots of things about it are all great. Certainly has a high ranking on my list. And from the guidebook provided by Nancy, I read Class III-V rivers!
